Acura has showcased its new Performance EV Concept at the Monterey Car Week.
The all-electric SUV concept is said to showcase Acura's vision for its future all-electric vehicles. Up front, the car sports a vented hood and prominent side vents, said to draw inspiration from hydrofoil superyachts.
Look from the side and you'll notice it sports a coupe-like silhouette rear, which ends in an upswept decklid, full-width taillight and large diffuser, all said to pay homage to the second generation NSX. An 'Acura' badge is also splashed across the car's tailgate in a new font, which Acura states will be reserved for its electric vehicles.
The concept was displayed in a Moonlit White Pearl semi-matte finish, and comes complete with massive 23-inch rims sporting a sculptural design with brushed machined edges and variable spacing between the spokes, designed to evoke movement even when the car is standing still. These rims sit ahead of drilled high-performance brakes with paint-matched Moonlit White four-piston callipers that feature Acura scripting in an eye-catching neon green.
