Audi has unveiled a new Q7. Now in its third iteration, this new Q7 is said to combine a sporty, powerful design with a highly versatile interior, first-class materials, and a wide range of technologies, and is set to be available internationally with five, six, or seven seats.
The familiar boxy form has been retained for this Q7, although you will note that this new car now gets the slim head lights and taillight design that we have seen in the Q5 and the Q3.
The new Audi Q7 gets advanced turn signals that project directly onto the road to quickly alert other road users to a lane change or turn
Not as obvious are details such as the fact that the car's bonnet and logo now sit higher than before - changes intended to give the car greater presence. The car's Singleframe grille is also now available as an illuminated item.
While we're on the topic of lights, this Audi Q7 is also set to feature new turn signals that project onto the ground at night, a move that Audi states makes the roads much safer for pedestrians and cyclists. The rear of this Audi Q7 can also make use of its digital OLED rear lights to warn other road users to accidents and breakdowns ahead by displaying warning symbols instead of the car’s regular rear light graphics.
You'd also have noticed that this new Q7 now gets a more upright D-pillar and a near horizontal roofline, changes made to ensure the car delivers more headroom and space inside.
Customers will be able to specify their Q7 with three different suspension setups. The standard steel springs are said to make this Q7 more comfortable than its predecessor. An adaptive air suspension setup with electronically controlled dampers is also available, and there is also a sport version of this air suspension setup, which lowers the car by 30mm compared to the base model.
The Audi Q7 is set to be offered with five, six, or seven seats for maximum versatility and everyday usability
The cabin of this Audi Q7 will come with the firm's MMI panoramic display - comprising the Audi virtual cockpit and the MMI touch display. A passenger display and head-up display can also be added as an option.
Owners will also have access to an Audi Application Store that will open access to a wide range of app across categories including music, video, gaming, navigation, parking and charging, productivity, weather, and news.
This new Audi Q7 is launching with a V6 diesel engine available in two different states of tune: The first offering a total of 295bhp and a peak torque of 630Nm, while the second offers a total of 241bhp and a peak torque of 500Nm. This engine will also come paired with mild hybrid technology alongside an electric-powered compressor.
The latter, Audi states, not only ensures a linear and fast response, alongside impressive mid-range acceleration and increased efficiency, but is also said to be capable of building up to 3.4 bar of absolute pressure extremely quickly.
Deliveries of the new Audi Q7 are set to begin in September 2026.
