Bentley has revealed the name of a new model line, which will be known as the Torcal.
The new model will become the fourth model line in Bentley's portfolio, joining the Continental GT, Flying Spur and the Bentayga. A full unveiling of the Torcal is scheduled to take place in London on 23 September 2026.
According to Bentley, the Torcal represents a new chapter for the British luxury marque while retaining the craftsmanship, comfort and performance that have long defined the brand. The name follows Bentley's recent convention of drawing inspiration from notable geographical landmarks. The Torcal is named after El Torcal de Antequera, a limestone landscape in Andalusia, Spain. Bentley states the name also derives from the Latin word torquere, meaning "to twist", which shares the same root as the word torque.
While technical specifications for the car have yet to be disclosed, the Torcal will usher in a new era for Bentley as its first series-production electric vehicle. The model is expected to play a key role in the company's long-term electrification plans.
Chairman and CEO Frank-Steffen Walliser described the Torcal as a car that sets "extraordinary benchmarks in every area that matters", adding that it may be one of the most carefully developed vehicles in the company's history. For now, Bentley has released only a teaser image and limited details of the newcomer. Bentley states that it will reveal more information of the Torcal ahead of its global debut.
