The new 520d EfficientDynamics Edition features a 2.0-litre diesel engine that produces 181bhp and 380Nm of torque. This enables the car to go from 0-100km/h in 8.2 seconds, and reach a top speed of 231km/h.
The BMW 520d EfficientDynamics Edition also features an engine start/stop system, regenerative brakes, an active grille, a longer final drive ratio and aerodynamic wheels, all of which help to improve efficiency and reduce fuel consumption.
BMW has also announced that it will introduce a new 2.0-litre petrol engine with TwinPower Turbo technology, which will be fitted to the 520i and 528i models. In the 520i, the engine produces 181bhp and 270Nm of torque, allowing it to go from 0-100km/h in 7.9 seconds and hit a top speed of 227km/h. In the 528i meanwhile, the engine will produce 241bhp and 350Nm of torque, enabling it to go from 0-100km/h in 6.2 seconds, and reach a top speed of 250km/h.
