  • BMW 7er may receive M performance treatment

    21 Apr 2012

There has been news on BMW pondering over a M7, but none confirmed thus far. A recent interview revealed, however, a M Performance 7er may be in the works.

It has been a while since the Germans stunned us with big, four-door sedans that packs monstrous power, and we have been quite acquainted with the idea - think AMG for Mercedes-Benz sedans, BMW M5, Audi RS6 etc. However, it seems that it may just get bigger and better.

While AMG has laid their hands on the flagship S-Class, BMW has not made their move. In a recent interview with Car and Driver, however, President of BMW M Division, Friedrich Nitschke has revealed that the firm may introduce M performance treatment to the 7-series flagship sedan.

Sharing his plans for the division, Nitschke said that turbo-charging is likely to stay for future M products, while manual transmissions will still be offered.

As much as we need to save Gaia, there are still ample demands for fuel-burning, autobahn-storming machines, aren't it?
