Along with a new exhaust system that includes race, tubular headers with F1-style merge collectors, metal-matrix, sport, catalytic converters, X-Flow downpipe and sport silencers all built from stainless steel, the RS46 now produces 534bhp and an increase of 156Nm of torque. Optional performance additions include a carbon air box, larger-displacement, carbon plenum chamber, power pulley, and a lightweight clutch and flywheel.
Cosmetically, RDSport offers a choice of either a Stradale (Street) or Corsa (Race) front bumper, either of which is made from carbon and Kevlar and contains larger ducting for brake and engine cooling. The rear bumper features a carbon fibre/meshed diffuser section which is also made from carbon and Kevlar to further reduce weight. Boot and roof spoilers are also available to improve airflow, while the car is also equipped with RS2 Forged alloy wheels, with the RC8 Forged Monobloc available as an option.
The RS46 also boasts of an RDSport Chassis kit that consists of specially valved Bilstein shocks and RDSport Springs, which lowers the car by 30mm in front and 25mm at the rear, and provides for a more stable ride. There is also a new RDSport Brake System with 6-piston, aluminium monoblock callipers on the front and 4-piston monoblock callipers in the rear. Customers can choose between cross-drilled and slotted rotors.
