Continental has announced the debut of its new Window Projection solution for the very first time at CES 2025, which ran from 7 January 2025 to 10 January 2025, in Las Vegas.
The new technology will project content onto the vehicle's rear side windows, which will be visible from the outside. It can also display information such as the charge level of an electric vehicle or the logo of the person's favourite sports club. To display content on the side windows, the system uses a powerful mini projector (requiring less than half a litre of installation space), a side window that can be fully darkened electrically to act as a projection surface, and intelligent software.
In addition, the e.Travel.companion is integrated into the Window Projection solution as a software component, using data on driving habits, geographical and weather data, as well as additional information from the vehicle's sensors to create new user experiences. To develop this software, Continental collaborated with platform provider banbutsu, using the former's digital ecosystem to provide the interface.
The brand also showcased its latest technologies at a private structure exhibit in Central Plaza, across from the Las Vegas Convention Centre, across the duration of CES 2025.
