Kia EV5 nets full five-star Euro NCAP rating

Most notably, the EV5 scored highly in tests on its structural integrity, achieving an excellent 83% for adult occupant protection, and an even better 85% for child occupant protection.
It also scored 74% in the ‘vulnerable road users’ pillar - with its autonomous emergency braking (AEB) system purportedly performing particularly well in cyclist scenarios - and 80% in the ‘Safety Assist’ category.
Kia states that the EV5’s safety rating is underpinned first and foremost by its high-strength bespoke electric architecture, and is further complemented by its comprehensive suite of advanced driving assistance systems.
