Amidst reports by Lexus stating the abortion of the LFA roadster concept for production, audience at the D1GP Kick Off Drift event were taken by surprise when a white drop-top LFA came drifting into the circuit.
The D1GP Drift event is held outside the Makuhari Messe convention centre, which plays host to the 2012 Tokyo Auto Salon. In the video above, you may realise the differences between the car and the roadster concept which was shown in 2008 – the car appears to be production ready. However there is no confirmation from Lexus if this is an official prototype or a one-off custom by some wealthy individual. The noise by the V10, however, is instantly recognisable as that of the LFA.
