Japanese carmaker Mazda has opened Mazda Trans Aoyama, a concept showroom that aims to offer the brand's experience to visitors in Tokyo.
Located in the Minami-Aoyama, which is considered a hub of cultural innovation, Mazda says that Trans-Aoyama is guided by the brand's purpose of "enrich life-in-motion for those we serve". The word 'trans' supposedly connotes change or transcendence, and Mazda hopes that visitors to the space will have an uplifting experience.
Mazda Trans Aoyama marks the Mazda's latest concept showroom for those visiting Japan's capital city
Trans Aoyama is not limited to Mazda owners or fans, as the brand is marketing this to individuals 'who have yet to develop a connection with Mazda'. As such, a range of information and experiences are on hand for visitors to discover the carmaker's history.
In addition, Mazda production models, concept cars and historical vehicles will be permanently displayed alongside miniature cars that chronicle the brand's history. Interestingly, visitors will also be able to test drive Mazda's iconic roadster, the MX-5.
Complementing these will be experiential events, workshops, and limited-duration exhibits. It is hoped that these will draw the interests of non-enthusiasts and bring them closer to the brand.
Mazda Trans Aoyama is located in 5-6 19 Minami-Aoyama, Minato-ku, Tokyo, and is open daily except Mondays from 8:30am to 6:30pm.
