  • New E-Class pictures leaked

    10 Dec 2008

Pictures of the new Mercedes-Benz E-Class have been leaked onto the internet ahead of the car's official unveiling.

It's got more angular styling - a gradual change from the square looks of the W124 (1984 to 1995), to rounder curves on the W210 (1995 to 2002) and W211. Now, it's heading back to sharper angles with the W212.

The most notable differences are the headlamps, a new front grille, and a prominent crease which runs along the length of its side. Interestingly, that crease resembles the side of the CLS models.

Rumours say that the new base model's engine will be a 184 hp four-cylinder turbocharged engine. A new addition to the line-up will be the 354 hp V6, while the E63 AMG will use a 550 hp V8.
