  • Nostalgia & Modern Tuning: Nelson Racing Englnes creates 2,000bhp Camaro

    25 Nov 2012

Nelson Racing Engine has taken a 1969 Camaro and attempted to make it a ultimate muscle car with a 2,000bhp output and a sense of nostalgia.

If you wondered what people did in their free time back in 1969, Bryan Adams 'Summer of 69'  probably has the answers for you. It was probably also the time when people took their Camaros for a spin.

Nelson Racing Engines is probably bringing back a little bit of that nostalgia, coupled with modern tuning as it collaborates with eGarage and Roadster Shop to tune a custom 1969 Camaro into the ultimate muscle car.

The main highlight of this tuning project is the 2,000bhp power output that was achieved by installing a NRE Billet Blackout Series twin-turbo intercooled 572 cubic inch Big Block Chevy crate engine connected to a 6-speed transmission and a twin 10.5-inch dual disc clutch.

The power is being sent to the ground through the Strange 9-inch rear nodular case and 35 spline axles. The 1969 Chevrolet Camaro is also getting a custom exhaust pipe, HRE rims wrapped in Drag Radial tyres covering the electrically assisted four-wheel disc brakes.
