Opel has launched its first battery-electric vehicle - the Grandland Electric AWD - which offers locally emissions-free driving pleasure and a system output of 239kW and 509Nm of torque.
It seats up to five, with Intelli-Seats for the driver and front passenger. The Grandland Electric AWD also features a 16-inch colour touchscreen and a transparent Pixel Box in its centre console for wireless smartphone charging. At the rear, it offers at least 485 litres of boot space and with the 40:20:40 split rear seat bench folded down, increases to up to 1,580 litres.
Grandland Electric AWD drivers also have the choice of four driving modes: Normal, Eco, Sport, and 4WD. In 4WD mode, both electric motors of the AWD vehicle run continuously and distribute the power evenly to all four wheels to ensure optimum grip, especially on slippery surfaces. In Sport mode, the steering and accelerator pedal respond even more directly thanks to a special setting.
The Grandland Electric AWD comes with a 73kWh battery and offers three trims, and in the Ultimate trim, the model is able to achieve a WLTP range of up to 483km on a full charge. Opel has said that further trim versions that offer WLTP ranges of up to 501km will follow later in 2025. In addition, the state-of-charge of the Grandland Electric AWD's battery is able to go from 20-80% in just 30 minutes with a DC power outlet.
