Having been almost a year since Peugeot unveiled its E-208 GTi concept to the public, the brand has announced that orders for the production model of the sportback - developed and engineered by Peugeot Sport, and remaining incredibly close to the original 2025 concept - are now open.
In terms of design, the E-208 GTi sports a compact, dynamic silhouette and Peugeot's three‑claw lighting signature. At the front, this sees illuminated claws integrated into the bumper and extended into the full LED headlamps using three independent optical modules. At the rear, three horizontal LED claws reinforce the model's stance.
Its 18-inch perforated wheels reference those of the 205 GTi and improve brake cooling, while widened wheel arches accommodate the increase track. A front spoiler and a specific rear aerodynamic diffuser in glossy black integrate a new LED rear fog light.
Inside, red carpets, floor mats, and seatbelts create a sporty atmosphere. Red stitching is also featured on the dashboard, door panels, and compact steering wheel. The front seats have integrated headrests and pay tribute to the 205 GTi 1.9.
The E-208 GTi is equipped with the M4+ electric motor, which delivers an output of 207kW and 345Nm of torque. Peugeot says this makes the model the most powerful and best-performing model in the B-segment and allows it to complete the century sprint in 5.5 seconds. It also has a limited top speed of 180km/h.
And while it uses the same 54kWh battery as the E-208, the GTi model's has been adapted to meet the demands of the GTi motor. This allows it to "always delivery maximum performance without power limitation, regardless of driving conditions".
