The Porsche Experience Centre Atlanta has opened its second driver development track.
The 2.5-km long West Track operates independently from the South Track, and features 'modules' designed to evoke the passion and performance of a Porsche.
The track starts with a 2.0-km long continuous loop handling circuit lap around the outer ring of the track, complete with turns and elevation changes to challenge both the car and driver. This circuit includes elements inspired by tracks including the Nurburgring-Nordschleife, Daytona, and Laguna-Seca.
A low-friction circle, designed to test the driver's capability to remain in control while inducing both understeer and oversteer, an ice hill of polished concrete complete with computer-controlled water jets, as well as an autocross section also feature on the new track.
