Range Rover has offered the first look at its upcoming Sport Electric, giving the public an early glimpse of the brand's second EV at the 2026 Goodwood Festival of Speed.
Shown in prototype form, the SUV took on a series of demonstration runs inspired by some of the marque's past challenges, including the 999-step Heaven's Gate climb in China and the ascent of an Icelandic spillway.
The Sport Electric is set to become the final piece of the current Range Rover Sport powertrain lineup, joining existing plug-in hybrid, mild-hybrid V8 petrol, six-cylinder petrol and six-cylinder diesel variants.
While the company has yet to disclose technical specifications, it says the new model has been engineered to deliver the same driving character expected of a Range Rover Sport. The electric SUV will also feature a revised chassis setup and a bespoke audio programme developed for the model.
The preview marks an important step in Range Rover's broader electrification plans, with the brand confirming that every Range Rover model is now available with hybrid power, while fully electric variants continue to be rolled out across the range.
More details on the Range Rover Sport Electric will be released later this year.
