The mentoring programme saw students from schools around Goodwood getting the opportunity to join the firm's apprentices in a variety of its workshops.

Rolls-Royce Motor Cars has marked its fourth consecutive year of participation in Dare to Dream, a mentoring scheme organised by U.K. charity Love Local Jobs Foundation, and designed to help students realise their potential and overcome their personal barriers to success.

15 volunteers from across the company acted as mentors to Year Nine pupils from the Chichester Free School, Bourne Community College, and Ormiston Six Villages Academy. These schools are not only located in the U.K., but are all local to the Home of Rolls-Royce at Goodwood.

This year saw Rolls-Royce's apprentices were invited to take part in this mentorship programme, and each mentor from Rolls-Royce collaborated with three pupils who are grappling with challenges impacting their personal lives, academic advancement, and future career decisions. Across a series of three sessions, the mentors shared their own experiences and strived to learn more about the pupils' perspectives on life. Both mentors and students explored and challenged the pupils' beliefs about themselves and the world around them.

The scheme is said to help build confidence amongst the pupils, help them overcome personal and academic challenges, and shape their life's journey with support from people already in work at Rolls-Royce Motor Cars. Participants were also invited to the Home of Rolls-Royce to experience the workplace, join apprentices in a variety of workshops, and gain inspiration from the opportunities available.
