The Porsche Circuit held at the Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition Centre celebrated Stuttgart Auto's 30th anniversary as well as SG50.

The Porsche Circuit celebrated the twin momentous occasions of Singapore's 50 years of nation-building as well as the 30th anniversary of Stuttgart Auto, the sole dealer of Porsche in Singapore. Celebrations began on Thursday, 23rd July 2015, at a gala dinner attended by 450 special guests.

The evening was graced by S Iswaran, Minister in the Prime Minister's Office and Second Minister for Home Affairs and Trade & Industry, as well as Earl Bamber, one of the 2015 winners of the 24 Hours of Le Mans endurance race, reigning Porsche Supercup and double Porsche Carrera Cup Asia champion.

Two new 911 variants - the 911 Targa 4 GTS and the 911 GT3 RS, as well as two unique celebratory models - the 911 Turbo S SG50 Custom-built for Singapore and the Cayenne SG50 Exclusive Edition, which is limited to 10 units for Singapore, were unveiled.

On display for the first time in Singapore is also the 911 Carrera S Martini Racing Edition, a limited edition vehicle customised by Porsche Exclusive. Guests immersed themselves in the Porsche experience by coming up close with the newly-launched Porsche models, the current Porsche model range, a series of iconic Porsche models as well as Porsche racing cars. This included a display of all seven generations of the Porsche 911, a replica of the 919 Hybrid that brought Porsche the winning title at the 2015 24 Hours of Le Mans endurance race, and the 911 GT1, the extraordinary race car that won the same race 17 years ago.

As part of Mr. Karsono Kwee, Executive Chairman of Eurokars Group of Companies and founder of Stuttgart Auto Pte Ltd and Porsche's continuous bid to fulfil the tenets of corporate social responsibility, a series of three charitable contributions were made as part of the evening's celebrations.

Firstly, proceeds from the eBay auction of the 2014 Porsche 919 Hybrid replica, provided by Porsche Asia Pacific, were donated in the form of a US$106,100 (S$145,310) cheque to the charity organisation Singapore SportCares. Team SportCares links those in need with passionate volunteers and community-spirited donors through great sports programmes and life-skills workshops.

The second charitable contribution was a cheque of S$100,000 that was presented to The Straits Times School Pocket Money Fund, a charity driven by a mission to reach out to every child in need and provide them with the resources to do well in school and beyond.

Finally, the third and largest of the evening's contributions went to the West Coast Citizens' Consultative Committee (CCC), where Mr. Kwee has been serving as a Patron for more than five years. These three charitable contributions will certainly go a long way in helping the three organisations fulfil their mission and continue the good work that they do in the society.
