Renault has given the Scenic E-Tech electric a well-timed upgrade for the 2027 model year, with a larger battery, increased range and faster charging leading the changes.
Every version now uses an 89kWh battery paired with a 160kW electric motor producing 217bhp and 300Nm of torque. In techno trim, the Scenic offers up to 631km of WLTP range, 11 miles more than before, while techno esprit Alpine and iconic esprit Alpine models manage up to 620km and 615km respectively.
Charging should involve less waiting around too. A 15-80% top-up using a compatible 150kW DC rapid charger takes 28 minutes, cutting nine minutes from the previous model's charging time. An 11kW AC onboard charger and battery pre-conditioning remain standard across the range.
The exterior updates are subtle rather than dramatic. Techno models gain new 19-inch "cinetic" black diamond-cut alloy wheels, while the two esprit Alpine variants receive 20-inch "speedway" wheels with a smoked lacquer finish. Renault has also revised the front and rear blade finishes and added satin slate blue and exo galaxy grey to the colour palette.
Inside, the techno receives new upholstery, dashboard detailing, and stitching. Its front seats have also been redesigned with improved comfort and more pronounced bolstering.
The technology package has been sharpened with a ventilated 15W Qi2 wireless smartphone charger and Google Gemini integration for the openR link infotainment system, allowing more natural voice interactions. A new Smart Mode can also adjust the Multi-Sense driving settings automatically according to how the car is being driven.
Driver assistance equipment now includes active driver assist, predictive eco-driving assistance, blind spot warning, rear automatic emergency braking, and rear cross traffic alert across the line-up.
Three variants will be offered. The techno comes with Google built-in, a 12.3-inch driver display, heated front seats and steering wheel, a powered tailgate, and active driver assist. Techno esprit Alpine adds sportier styling, 20-inch wheels, and electrically adjustable front seats with a massage function for the driver.
At the top of the range, the iconic esprit Alpine adds Renault's Solarbay opacifying panoramic sunroof, a Harman Kardon audio system, a 360-degree 3D camera, a smart rear-view mirror, and hands-free parking.
U.K. orders for the 2027 Renault Scenic E-Tech electric opened on 1 October 2026.
