Two men were each charged with 15 counts of mischief on Tuesday after they allegedly removed the emblems of cars parked at a condominium and hotel carpark.
Timothy Cheong Zhen Yuan, 24, and and 37-year old Jamie Koh Guan Hoe, allegedly ripped badges and wheelcaps from vehicles in the basement carpark of Tanamera Crest condominium in Changi, where Cheong lives, in the early hours of 12th December last year - when 14 of their alleged offences were said to have taken place.
Two days later, they allegedly committed a similar offence by removing a BMW's front and rear emblems at the basement carpark of Grand Park Orchard Hotel on Orchard Road.
The cost of repairs to the car owners ranged from $16 to $237, and came to $1,306 in total.
Cheong, who helps in his father's business, was represented by Mr Edmond Pereira who said his client would be making restitution.
Cheong will return to court on 14th June while Koh, who would also make restitution, will appear in court again on 13th June.
If convicted, they could be jailed for up to one year and/or fined on each charge.
