26 employees of Volkswagen Group U.K. Ltd. used the leap day to make a commitment to the planet by undertaking the Carbon Literacy Trust's training course.

This takes the total number of employees who are now certified under the course to 75, a number which the Volkswagen Group states sets it on course to achieve the Carbon Literacy Organisation Silver standard by the end of the year.

Attendees to the course got to learn more about their personal and professional impacts on climate change through engaging exercises as part of the training, and also got to finish the day by making pledges to reduce their own carbon footprints. These pledges will be revisited in due course to allow the Volkswagen Group to understand the positive impacts it is making.
