I love this car! It is soo easy to handle & have a great style as well!

However, please bear in mind it is not WRX!! Do not place too high expectation on its performance. For a lady driver like myself, 1.6L car is just nice. Even my family & colleagues love it so much.

I have a few colleagues bought it after trying my car.

I would definately recommend this to my friends!

Don't stop at the slope if urs is a manual gear car

Very nice looking WRX style car with super good handling when taking corner, but the car is really under power and when u stop at halfway of steep slope u may need to go up to 5000rpm or more in order to let ur impreza 'slowly' climb up.

DON'T JUDGE A BOOK BY ITS COVER

The title says it all. This car is beautiful, given its a popularity from its sporty brother, the WRX. One could install the bodykits and interior to make the car look exactly like WRX. However, it does not go like one. In fact, its too slow and underpowered and has poor fuel efficiency. Why so? Let's further analyse the car.

The 1.6 litre boxer engine gives you extra character given that it sounds different from the common in-line fours, but does not comes with any variable valve timing technology which is already very wide spread among the newer cars. It is designed at a good compression level of 10.0:1 which still output decent power and torque at engine level. However, matching the puny engine to the AWD tranny kills off almost half the power when it reaches the wheel. The extra rear gearbox and long shaft also adds to the weight of the car, making it a heavier chunk to move. All these sums up to the poor acceleration and fuel economy from this car. Overtaking is a hassle. Being overtaken becomes part of your driving style.

Handling is definitely superior among the 1.6 litre categories since its AWD, but given so little power to manage, AWD is an over-kill. The previous 2WD models have proven to be a more fun drive which proves AWD is a poor match in the design. Suspension has alot of comfort given its ability to absorb bumps very well and matched with a 195 width tyre, you enjoy so much grip that gives you the confidence to keep going faster and faster around the corners.

Other feature is a headlight level adjuster switch amongst the cockpit, and a handy 6-cd audio unit. The seats are comfortable and features a height adjustable unit for the driver. Being designed in Europe, this Japanese make has its signal lever on the left side. Unlike most cars, the back rest for the rear seats are non reclinable. So you do have a limit when coming to carry long objects, unlike other cars, declining the rear seats allows the use of some cabin space for storage. The interior is decent with appropriate cures but certainly not the nicest among the competitiors of its class. On the outside, the car features a front disc brake and a rear drum brake. Changing to bigger wheels just makes you feel the brakes can't stop you in time anymore.

Concluding, everything, buy this car only if you are seeking looks and not performance.
