A car for someone who does not care.
One of the worst car I've owned. Interior lacking quality - lot of plastic, not enough compartments for small stuff. Armrest only comfortable when the seat is max low (but then you cannot use the cup holder under the armrest). Only place to hide small stuff is the armrest. The seats look ugly, but feel quite ok. No side support though. Front seats tend to squeek (mine started when the car had 10 000 km). Little leg room in the back - backseat uncomfortable.
I had a 1.7CDTI - an awful engine, loud as a diseased horse, the power comes only if you rev up to 4500 RPM. Mine had 6.7l mix consumption (not economical). Best fuel consuption when driving on higher rpm's (about 2500), but then you have to withstand the engine tractor volume.... Read More
A Superb German Workhorse!
Opel Astra 1.6MTA is exceptionally well designed and made German car. It balances performance, handling, design, comfort and safety in the balancing equation.
Look no further if the normal Japanese or Korea made cars do not appeal to your taste, heart and head.
Its a class a few notches above the rest of the hatchback available in the market.
A fuel sipper if you are not too racy in your daily drive. It returns 530 to 550 km for 40 litres over a 30%city drive & 70%highway.
Its worth recommending to people that want a premium drive without the usual high price tag of owning a conti car.... Read More
