Consumer Reviews

Dirt Cheap maintenance, durable engine. Fast pick up. Get this rather than ur chery qq or ur chevrolet spark.
Good F/C for auto can get 16km/liter.

- To other owners - try to deal with the Management, because I agree that the salesmen are not very efficient.
- I vote Excellent for Exterior because it is easy to change the look, as its size is like the "real" mini. Refer to Daihatsu Trevis or the Mini.
- The Handling is very good with wider rims and tyres (still legal). Engine is powerful enough to fit wider rims and tyres. Try it, the improvement is great.

Got my kelisa in 2006, very happy with it. No problems. Although still small and no power but what to expect from a 989cc car. Have all the basic of the car and that's good enough. Not to mention its very reliable

I can say this is not the most appealing car, but at least it get the job done. Ferrying around my new born is the reason i got a car, so far I'm still happy. Handling become much stable after installing front strut bar.
Longest distance travel is to Ipoh (500+ km) at speed of 130KM/h, faster than that is not adviced.

Having rented this car few times i'm quite surprise that it is one of the most reliable, affordable compact car.Even with fully seated this car still perform although a bit noisy. Still a practical choice who's on tight budget

For those who is thinking about buying this car, I can only say good luck. I bought this car for 2 months and EVEN I bought a new car the car have been giving lots of problem to me. AND the best part is not about the workmanship of this car, IT IS the after sales services they provide. They told me to wait 1 month for the clutch cable when the cable they give me in a NEW car is faulty. And their service is extremely rude, imagine u call in and ask them some question and just hang up? I been there more than 10 times in 2 month. You bring in with 2 problems, after servicing it come back with 2 same problem and 1 new problem and this thing never stop. The way they talk to their customer really make me puke, the car is alright for point a to point b for that price but when u think of the service they going to give you, I would rather buy a china car.

For the price you pay, it has satisfied the basic function of a car. Small yet powerful. The look is also cute. It can modify with different kind of design.
It is another kind of enjoyment when driving a Kelisa. Compared to driving a big car, it is easy to handle, especially when you are parking carparks which has very small lots.
Space is quite restraint, but it is ideal for small family, with around 4 members or less. I had travelled with my husband in a Kelisa to malaysia, up to KL, and it was really enjoyable.
Engine is powerful, although noisy, but that reminds you of its power.
Not a bad choice for anyone who needs to travel from one place to another place.

The level of service provided to walk in customers are not even comparable to machines. Have you ever walk into a Authorised Dealer's showroom and stand there for 5 minutes while the present sales agent sat at one corner playing her PSP without even glancing at you? Perhaps the installation of Self service machines would attract more sales for this car which I seriously doubt so. Unless you really like this car and its price, advisable not to waste time and efforts to even call them much less visit their showroom even though you may not mind a no- service treatment.

Hope the sales girl will wake up in time to save kelisa from falling deeper. Worst service standard than a hawker centre,

Small and squeezy, Rear only have 2 sit belts. Bad customer service and sales at Perocom Bukit Timah. Can get other better low budget car than a Malaysian car. For this car price, better get a Proton Wira than Perodua Kelisa.

Great pick up. Good fuel consumption. A good car for its value. An excellent choice for 1st time budget driver. Had been driving it for 2 years. No problem but it makes u wanna change higher performance car...

My cousin has booked the Kelisa 1.0 manual yesterday at a record low price of $30,999 (before cash rebate). This price is only valid till 5th Feb 2008.
It is a basic car that meets his basic needs for transportation from point A to B. At such a low price and annual road tax of only $450 (cheaper than Eurovan, which was his other alternative), this was a deal he couldn't resist after holding back his purchase since last year.
It can also use the cheapest 92 RON petrol.
At its peak in 2004, the Kelisa was selling for $48,900.
To those who need basic transportation and do not want to splurge on a car, there is no better deal.

If the sales and service Department could improve, i think kelisa would have a much better sales figure as compare to now, Many friends and relative of mine had bad experience with the sales dept, that stopped me from purchasing a kelisa,

Pickup is good!
A little squeezy though, interior isn't that great to shout about, handing a bit rough
Cheap and reliable Japanese engine (Daihatsu 1.0 DOHC)
Their sales and servicing could do better though

This car has been voted as the worst car of the year before. I have try driving a kelisa before. Nonetheless, the handling and the experience of driving this car is way below what I ever expect. I would definitely recommend potential buyers to go for other similar budget car instead.
