if this car has got air bag/better rear suspension/rear disc brake, its worth the price for 41,988sgd.its not worth to buy this car at such a price.will consider only if they drop the car price slighty lower by 3-5k

All things being equal - this is good value for money

I don't know why people knock the brand. A Proton is a good, solid car and value for money. Sure, its said that its great sales figures in Malaysia has to do with government incentives, but it takes more than a price point to make people choose one car over another. Price comes in when all other things are more or less equal and a Proton Wira is pretty equal in other respects.

A Proton is basically an older Mitsubishi with a different badge. I drove one for an extended period and I never thought it was less of a car than the Ford Escort, Suzuki Swift, Suzuki Baleno, Toyota Starlet - and Mitsubishi Lancer - that I also had access to.

For me, the Wira was a biggish car and it handled like one - nothing dramatic, just smooth and steady progress. If you don't throw it hard into corners, it will behave in a genteel way. If you don't expect hard acceleration from the lights, the Wira will get you away nicely without drama. If you don't shift like a boy racer, the Wira will manage gear changes competently like any car in a driving school.

It had a cavernous boot and four passengers rode in comfort, with the ride not too hard and not too soft.

I did not fancy the build quality of the interior and the pattern of the fabric, but hey, things did not fall apart. It was a good, robust car although there was a little rattle that mechanics could never get rid off.

A Japanese car of this size starts at ten grand more at least, with a Korean car quickly catching up. So for those to whom a car is a car is a car, the Proton Wira has all the basics covered - and price point significantly lower than its competitors.
