The 2WS is a no frills car.
I love the firm suspension coupled with slightly over inflated tyres, which allows me some feedback on the road condition (I actually like a bit of vibration and noise).
The headlights are bright enough but HID would be better in the newer models.
Fuel consumption is reasonable for a SUV and I can average > 10km/l easily since I mostly travel on the expressways.
Our 2nd Grand Vitara and we love her! Our 1st was the 2.04WD which was a little under-power.
We have her for 3 months now. She drives smooth and over takes with ease. The fuel consumption is better if not as good as the 2.0.
I want to drive a SUV in this Singapore urban jingle as it has a masculine look, and gives me a sense of dominance over other road users. However, one would expect a SUV to come with lots of cabin noise, and lack of power when cruising at highway speeds. However, I was pleasantly surprised that the Grand Vitara does not come with either of this.
Its exterior is also very appealing, and the price tag is definitely lower than other similar 2.0L Jap SUV such as the Rav4 and CR-V. Great buy.
