Before I bought this A168, all my friends are advise me not to buy China make Car, they told me that China make Car not reliable, no power, always break down, poor safety record.
At last I make up my mind and bought this resale Chery A168.
Now I own this A168 for five months, what I can said is no regret.
Try and believe it, don't listen to other peoper give bad comments and they not even drive it.

Own this car for more then 2 months, so far so good, no regret.
Value for money, good choice for peoper who just need a car for point A to B.
Can carry big items from ikea by flod down the back seat.

Drive my cousin one. His second car actually. A/C ok for cold weather but sluggish during hot. Pick up very slow but mid range can make it. During drive to KL many time the engine roar like mad reaching 150kmh. WTH,I choose Proton or Kia anyday for this.

Own a resale A168 for more then one month, found china make car not really that bad.
Good for point A to point B.

Bought it new after trading in my OPC Pica in 2007. Worried that I make the wrong choice. Several problems initially (start and die) but now its ok. I begin to like my Blackie.

Driven this A168 before, 1st look is is old fashion. Be it interior or exterior. Engine so noisy like u driving a lorry. Handling not good feel rough. Brakes screeching too

The car look simple but the engine is noisy; almost the same as Geely.
Slightly bigger look than Geely CK

The average FC for A168 is 8.2. The pick torque is almost non-existent. The engine is so noisy that it sounds like someone switched on a vacuum cleaner. The service offered by the agent sucks bug time : brought my car to fix the squeaky brakes 4 times and they still cannot fix it. Will never buy another China car again

Go for korean, after comparing between these two, the korean build is much much more better than the china

Pros:
Own a resale Chery A168, 1st of all reluctant to buy china car, cos no confidence in china product, but due to family usuage, need to get a budget car. Look at Picanto, Kelisa, Savvy, all are below 1.3, small and can't put much stuff. Then decided to take a look at Chery, test drive, feel quite ok. Comfort, enough space for a family of 5 to 6, engine feel enough power...and its a 1.6...
Cons:
Petrol wise, 10 to 12 l/km...quite common for 1.6 engine car. Interior culd be more up to trend...A5 model is better inside with lots of conti car features. Other than that, the A168 is a fine car for a budget family!
Try it today and believe it.

The first car I own, I have drove toyota vios before but I felt that every new car that first come to the market will have some problem, just like Japanese or Korean cars when it first come to Singapore. Have trust in China cars. Althought, it have a few minor problems but overall it perform in good expectation. For budget car, it is a good car to start with. I have trust with the car. Given the car some more time to get inline with Singapore just like Japanese or Korean where people have trust with them once the problems of these cars getting lesser and better. It is better to have some problems with the cars so that the technicians will have ideas to repair the cars problem rather that trying to avoid them instead.
