Consumer Reviews
Arguably the best car for value in the luxury coupe category. My husband recently purchased this car from Carlingual at $150k. Previously was shopping around for a 2+2 coupe. Amongst the top contenders were cars like the 335i coupe, S5, Audi TT (not really but it's after all a 2+2) and possibly 2nd hand Skyline GT-R. We didn't even know that there was the 370GT available in the local market. Having felt that the list of cars mentioned above was kinda over priced (like most european cars sold by authorised dealers) we went ahead with possible alternatives. Then we chanced upon the Skyline 370GT. Upon the first look, impressions are smooth, sexy and seductive. Interior were decent and spacious for a 2+2. However there were doubts about the performance in this category. Shortly, recollections of an article comparing the S5, 335i and G37 that Autocar did came to mind. However i was telling myself, a $150k car CAN'T be compared to these Monster coupes. The G37 must be slightly different than the local 370gt offerings. TO MY SURPRISE.... In fact the 370gt is pushing out more horses than the european versions of the G37! Largely due to the fact that the local version was a JDM... meaning the usage of 98 octane fuel was the primary program of the car. Therefore it's pushing 333BHP! Compared to the 318BHP G37 in the europe market. Moreover the other frills that came with the car in the europe market doesn't really add value to our daily drive here in our island city. eg, reverse camera, side mirror camera, 4 wheel steering, cruise control... What matters most is that this car drives like a dream and goes like a serious sports car. It managed a good balance between a seriously comfortable GT (grand tourer) and a pretty serious sports car (control & balance). Lastly, bring a car from the nissan stable means that the maintenance and upkeep of the car remains reasonable. However the road tax on this baby does pinch you a little. Which will all be forgotten once the pedal hits the floor :O Therefore... another thumbs up for the local PI boys for bringing in yet another gem from Nissan & Infiniti. Thus bringing justice to the hard earned money we spend on our precious automobiles here in Singapore.
Drove 2000km on this baby and loving it every day. Turn heads like nothing else and engine sounds like a dream (V6).
