Chery J5

Although it is the executive class for Chery, you cannot compare its perfectness to Camery or cefiro. However I can say its a better car compared to Altis and sunny. It is heavy and spacious. The fuel consumtion is very reasonable compared to its weight.

This is my second A5 (J5). First I had a 1.6M for 6 years and now I have 2.0A.

I've tested upto 180km at NS Express way. The car do not sway when overtaking heavy vehicle (most Jap cars do sway).

I've driven to Penang and Alorstar on two different times.

Bought the car in sep 2008. 3 months after buying battery flat. Change to a new one since under warrenty. 1 year later battery flat again. Replace brand new. After serving for 15k spanner symbol appear. go back to chery and still spanner symbol appear till today. Got to know that all small repair was not updated in their system. Kindly record for any repair done at vertex.

Good to drive but always get sudden prob. Just my luck.

Ok, First Of All this is my Second time I owned a Chery.

This Is How the Story Started!

In China, Beijing (Company trip) I took The Chery A5 Taxi.

The Car was great like my Son Hyundai Avantte.

Few Days I came Back to Singapore, It was Thursday, Since We need to rest.

To Be Honest I Didn't Rest, I Rode The taxi to Chery.

The Service people there are kind.

They Told Me All About This Car, And seem Intrested, I brought it.

1 week Later I collect my Car, And I drove to my house and park there.

A week Later me and my Son are going to Woodlands Checkpoint, Our Car is Full of Passenger 3 Boys Were inside his Car, The three girls is in my car.

I drove to Woodlands Checkpoint. I drove 120km to Johor.

Just got my Chery A5 1.6M 3 week ago. So Far so good. Engine performance is not bad for China car quite powerful. It does not have any problem overtaking. Value for money.

First got the car in april 2008 till now. Had a few problems with the foggy fog lights, power steering pump noisy when wheels are locked and suspension system (they get soft very easily).

Overall, happy with the car that i got for this price (i bought it for S$44999)

The comfort of the is good. Plenty of leg room for a person 1.8m+. The car comes with climate control aircon and rear aircon vent. Which adds to comfort of the vehicle. The car has a good fuel eco for a 2.0, 13km/l. Engine performance is not bad for China car. It does not have any problem overtaking.Nice interior, cool features and great visibility when driving. No manual for 2.0. The exterior of the vehicle.

A value for money no nonsense car that seats 5 pax very very comfortably. The Air-con circulates well with a rear vent. The pick up is reasonable. It is definitely not sluggish but do not expect the car to accelerate exceptionally.

At that price, this is a car that will meet most requirements. Moving off in the first few gears is slightly sluggish but once beyond the 3rd gear... the car is very responsive. Handling around bends are best done at lower speeds. As for fuel efficiency, I wish they can improve this further.

I think I have bad experience of owning a Chery car. For the problem my car have, and send in to the workshop for repair three time but service advisor always said tested ok.

Try out since i take over the car in Apr 08 till now, have no problem with the car.
