When I wanted to buy a cabriolet more for the lifestyle fun which I have never owned one, with the budge that I have it is probably a used 2 or 3 years old cabriolet. When I first saw Renault Megane Cabriolet I indeed fell in love with it, for the money it is certainly a car for value.
I enjoyed it very much and I get lots of attention and turning head from ladies especially. The car is relatively comfortable except that the interior compartment for storage is not spacious, so I guess this is really a typical lifestyle fun car and not so much of family therefore, if you are a family man or lady this might not be the best choice.
As far as engine is concern it was a powerful car for the size, it is a 4 cylinder 2.0 litres car. So far I have not encounter any engine or major mechanical problem.
If you plan to buy one negotiate for more amenities and free services, again this is not a very popular or die die must buy car but again I rather have a brand new car with all the freebies for 3 years rather than to buy a used car for the same if not lesser amount. Have fun!
