Test drove this a week or so ago, seems to have missed this make than the usual contis I tried before.
The first looks....exterior...its stylish and good looks, probably due to French designers are more artistic.
Interior also...good design that comes with many noticeable features like HUD but its located in a "hole" at the dashboard, prefer it on the windscreen like SAAB or others. Auto release parking with front and back sensors for guidance...HID lights and both front seats with electric capability too if not wrong.
The drive was excellent despite being a 1.6L even comes with turbo, according to salesperson, the FC is good too as it has like 150+bhp...overtaking is a breeze and there is only 1 Japanese make in this same category of CAT A that can match I think. Excellent torque and pickup.
Overall, its a good car that is certainly worth considering if you are looking at a conti but only worry is the spare parts when it comes to repair.

Overall, 508 is comfortable, quiet and powerful. The drive is superb although roll is a bit excessive, small matter. Seats are well fitted to the contour of our back. Can compare with German cars like Passat, 320i and C180. Sure, 508 costs less than German cars but for a 1.6L car, it is expensive! Used car dealers do not like French cars and therefore, expect steep depreciation when trade-in.
In Malaysia, Peugeot's agent sells this car with 5 years UNLIMITED mileage warranty. Usually, Malaysia driving ticks much higher mileage than Singapore. Agent in Singapore is only giving 3 years or 100000km warranty, and whichever comes 1st. Why the big short-change in warranty for Singapore? So that Singapore's agent can profit more $$$ from after-sale?

This has to be one of the most underrated cars in the market. The 508 is a big-ass sedan that beats cars like Honda Accord or even Volkswagen Passat in terms comfort, interior build excellence, exterior design and definitely value for money. I don't reviewers should compare this to the E class or 5 series even if they are around the same size. Come on, the 508 is easily a $100k cheaper!
My feel is that the Peugeot brand is traditionally known to be unreliable and hence not as popular in Singapore. But now with bette value and the seemingly more reliable THP engine and 6-speed gearbox, Peugeot will very soon be looked at differently.

using this car for a few months already up and down the highways (to Perak and Trenggannu and back to Singapore) proves to be quite fun and a good cruiser. I would not place it in the same bracket as a good mercedes benz e class but still quite a competent cruiser.

The Peugeot 508 draws attention from its alluring looks as well as being practical. Peugeot cars used to be unreliable cars but as technology grew, they became better. The 508 replaces two of Peugeots sedans and is the best family saloon car Peugeot has ever made.

The good old days of big peugeots is gone. They no longer make good big cars like the 604, 605, 607 etc. I recently test drive the 508 and when I close the door the whole roof rattles pointing to low built quality. The doors are just too heavy with the body shell a little soft. The 1.6 tubo engine lacks the punch that the Opel insignia has with good power to weight ratio that brings the joy to driving. The Peugeot also has quite a lot of turbo lag. In other words the 508 does not live up to the name of the legendary Peugeots like the 505 which is known as the King of the African forest. The 605 has a huge boot and spacious passanger room and a lively engine and fantastic road holding & the suspension of a sports sedan.

I can see that Peugeot put in a lot of effort on developing this car. The interior quality is top-notch or even better if you compare the 508 to some other German brand. Interior cabin is filled with high quality material and design is sleek. Ride quality is a little stiff but overall experience is comfortable and extremely quiet. It takes little effort for the car to move off despite it's only a 1.6l. Car is packed with lots of gadget ie heads up display, handsfree start/stop, auto handbrake, quadro climate control etc etc. Definately worth owning..................

It is a solidly built car. The engine is responsive and pick up with little effort. Most importantly, the car is packed with high end technology which you will find in high end car. Sound insulation is good too!
