The Touareg is handsome, reliable, comfortable and fantastic to drive. I have driven my Touareg to Kuala Lumpur several times. The ride comfort for both the driver and passengers is excellent. The 3.6L engine is responsive and powerful. Over-taking on highways is a breeze. It feels strong, sturdy and solid even at high speeds along long winding highways. It is like owning a Cayenne (both have similar features and wheelbase) without the hefty price tag of the Cayenne.
The Touareg is like the Captain America of the automotive world. Strong, reliable and also very handsome. I really liked the design of the Touareg and this new one is even better. The new front bumper looks like a tribute to the Scirocco R and it goes really well with the larger, trapezoidal-shaped bi-xenon headlamps.
Since it's 3.0-liter turbo-diesel TDI is mated to eight-speed ZF automatic gearbox instead of a DSG, there is little that I worry about.
I've been looking for something that is practical and also slightly fancy for a while and the Touareg is a good combination of both.
