I have driven the E46 M3, E92 M3, F80 M3 & M4 and the current G80 M3.
Here's the deal, G80 rides better and is the fastest M ever.
Is it missing the dual clutch? Yes and no. Yes, when you want to bang in the gears. But no, when you are driving normally (which is what you do 99% Of the time)
E46 is actually an excellent car if you drive the manual, the SMG is horrendous, the engine sounds good, but the handling is average compared to the cars of today
E92 has the best engine note. But the engine is anemic below 5000 rpm. Probably looks the sleekest in white
F80 sounds like crap, rides like crap, and cannot put the power down. I think this could be one of the worst M built.
G80 may be heavier, but it doesnt show it when you're driving. It is nimble, and has excellent steering compared to the F80. The engine has some turbo lag below 2k rpm, but once, you get it above that, you will fly.
G80's looks are polarising, but I like it.
BMW M, you smashed it
