This is my first EV car and I gotta say, me and my wife fell in love on first sight as it was an SUV that was rugged looking like a jeep. Not too small like a jimmy.
Price wise was also well within budget as it falls under CAT A. The minimalist interior design really captures me.
All in all, it's a great car for starters.
Very nice drive and high commanding positions. Make you feel like you are KING OF THE ROAD.
Mai tu liao alrdy this is the ONLY solution if you want an JIMNY but you want an EV and MORE SPACE.
Not to mention a cool car community in SG
Wonderful outlook, impressive functions, value for money. Love it when I first test drive and after driving it, difficult to drive others
Just collected, nice ride, gonna have fun. Functionality is definitely value for money. Best is getting 40% off for charge plus
The Jaecoo J6 is a compelling choice that successfully blends rugged style with modern EV practicality and a value-packed feature list. While its user interface has a learning curve and efficiency is not its strongest suit due to its boxy shape, its unique charm and solid performance make it a top contender in the compact electric SUV market for those who want their car to have a personality.
The Jaecoo J6 Cat A is the perfect blend of bold design, refined comfort, and smart performance — a true standout in its class.
From the moment you step inside, the J6 impresses with its luxurious interior, solid build quality, and well-thought-out features. The cabin feels premium and spacious, offering excellent comfort for both driver and passengers, whether it's daily commuting or long weekend drives.
On the road, the J6 delivers a smooth, stable, and confident drive. Acceleration is responsive, handling is reassuring, and the overall ride quality feels composed even at higher speeds. Safety and tech features are well integrated, giving peace of mind without feeling overly complicated.
What really makes the Jaecoo J6 shine is its value proposition — premium SUV looks and features, paired with Cat A affordability and competitive ownership costs. It's a smart choice for buyers who want style, substance, and practicality without compromise.
If you're looking for an SUV that feels premium, drives confidently, and makes sense financially, the Jaecoo J6 Cat A is absolutely worth considering.

Experience the Jaecoo J6 for yourself — one test drive is all it takes. ??
I went to the showroom wanting to look at Omoda E5 but end up getting rhe J6. The driving is smooth. While the car may look bulky but its quite nimble with its light steering.
Was recommended by my colleague. The looks of the car is makes people turn their heads around whenever I drive the car. Test drive it and damn. Feel in love with it. Spacious & comfortable. For an SUV of this size, height of the car is excellent means going up the hump or loopholes not an issue.
You don't just like the Jaecoo J6 — you quietly admire it the way car people do, with intent ?
The J6 hits that sweet spot for you: sporty but not shouty, rugged without trying too hard. You like how it looks purpose-built—clean lines, squared stance, that confident SUV posture that says "I'm ready" without screaming for attention. It gives off this composed, modern toughness that feels practical and fun at the same time.
What really hooks you is that it feels like a smart choice with personality. Not a cookie-cutter SUV, not something everyone else is driving. There's a bit of satisfaction in knowing you spotted something slightly under the radar that still carries presence. The sporty vibe isn't about raw speed—it's about attitude, balance, and looking good while being useful.
It's the kind of car you imagine yourself walking away from, doing a quick glance back, and thinking: yeah… that's my kind of ride.
Low-key proud. Confident. Very "you."
I like the boxy and rugged look with futuristic feel. With plenty of hidden storage compartments is my favourite choice too. Ground clearance for flood shld be gd enough too as the car stand high. Definitely a head turner on the road.
This Jaecoo 6 come as a a car that meets most of the likes of a jeep or suv. The handling is smooth and comfort, feels like a sedan yet high and tall inside a jeep cabin.
Highly recommend for family who enjoy suv and jeep environment. Go for it!!
Nice out look. Comes with many cool features that can match up the other EV brands. Advantageous out look. But too bad range only at 3xxkm hope it will be more when using the eco mode. Have yet to collect it and hope that the won't break down easily.
I've been driving the Jaecoo J6 for a while now, and honestly, it fits my lifestyle in Singapore better than I expected. What drew me in first was the look — boxy, rugged, very different from the usual SUVs you see on the road. It stands out without being over the top, and I like that. It gives off a solid, confident presence when you're driving, especially on expressways like PIE or ECP.
Day to day driving is comfortable. Whether it's morning traffic, long meetings across the island, or late-night drives home, the J6 feels stable and easy to handle. The higher driving position helps a lot, especially in traffic, and visibility is good. It's not a "fast car", but it moves smoothly and confidently, which is what I need for Singapore roads.
Inside, the cabin feels practical and well thought out. Nothing too fancy, but everything you need is there. The infotainment system is straightforward, air-con is strong (important in our weather), and there's enough space for people and gear. It feels like a car you can use daily without worrying too much.
What I appreciate most is the value. You get a tough-looking SUV, modern features, and a comfortable drive without paying a crazy premium. For someone who wants something different, practical, and still enjoyable to drive in Singapore, the Jaecoo J6 makes a lot of sense.
Love the rugged, boxy design and off road, practical and well-equipped electric vehicle (EV) for urban environments. Appreciate the unique, comfortable cabin with premium features.
Just collected my JAECOO 6 RWD, and went off for some "yao che hor" over the weekend before sending it in for a full body wrap. Coming from a Mercedes-Benz C180 Avantgarde, this was a deliberate, thought-through trade-in — and honestly, zero regrets. I felt rejuvenated. The J6 was love at first sight.
Why I Fell for the J6: Let's be real — the looks did it first. Boxy, rugged, confident. It scratches the same visual itch as its "older/bigger brothers" (you know who they are) — but at a price point that feels achievable, not aspirational-only.
Then comes the surprise: the tech.
So many features come standard — things I would've easily paid a few thousands more to equip on other cars (proprietory/aftermarket). This is very Android-phone energy: powerful out of the box, and insanely zherng-able.
And the fun factor? Off the charts.
I like the fun-ness I can get with the J6, there's so much "poisons" to "zherng". I already bought a mountain of accessories, even before my car got registered.. The extra dollars? Not even worth counting — because the satisfaction is already there. The excitement of planning mods, installing them, and making the car yours is half the joy of owning a J6.
The (initial) rides: Much smoother as compared to my prev ICE Merz (also bcos it's an EV vs ICE). Pickup is well acceptable, even though this is a Cat A. The drive mode and signal control remain the same sides as the Merz. May feel a little "floaty" due to its height and may need to step deeper on the brakes too. Again, this is in comparison to my ICE Merz, so to me these are just about getting used to.
The biggest tell?
Every time I park, walk away… I turn back and look at it again. Not to check which lot it's parked in or if the car is locked, but just to admire what a nice car I've gotten. That says everything.
