Just trade in my 2009 E200 (W212 - 5 Speed) with the new 2012 E200 7G-tronic after comparing with the new 520i. Immediately I can feel the difference especially in fuel economy (15% improvement) as well as performance. I am getting now 13.8KM/L (60% City 40% highway) 0-100 KPH is now 7.8s Handling seemed better than the new 520i especially at cornering and 0-100 KPH pickup.... Read More

20 months driving, hard accelerations at times and reaching 60K in 2 weeks - time for the 2-3 days major service....E250....not as efficient as claimed even though i do 80% highway (maybe 'cos of the hard drives) but hey, it, borrowing from the texts of auto authors, been punching above its engine specs. Most importantly, i've not had those nagging vibrations, mechanical faults, even engine controller failures (1.5l) which i used to have from the same Japs brand across a no of models including the tongyam 2.4; minus sticky accelerator though. Not sure how the other German equivalents would match up, or not, in those areas but i'm not too bothered and could just recall the sales guy told me this marque would only get better with age...for now a big yes, but will see how's that at 120K:)...in 40 months' time:).......
