A tiger INDEED.
Test driven the 2.0L version when was at the showroom recently. First looks, its a smaller Cayenne but hope it comes with the INDEED PORSCHE power. The styling to me sounds like a traditional Porsche design whereby the first looks is a typical German as it looks rather boxy and broader (perhaps its designed to fit on bigger sizes of people). In actual fact, the interior is actually nicely flatten and fitted, comfortably sitting and spaced out. A sporty interior, perhaps made from their famous sports 911 platform (the Panamera has also similar interior). There are many buttons along the gear shift area and can be quite confusing and hard to remember. Well, I guess this is after all a Porsche, unlike any other makes that they put convenience on top of sportiness feel. The intelligent part is the car actually remembers your settings (e.G. Off auto start/stop) and does not on back the next time you start engine. Not forgetting the "Hidden" Button at the rear wiper to open the boot. Great thinking. Porsche retains its turn start than push/start to let you have a kick of sports car feel, after all, they make only fast cars where you have to forgo the current trend. Driving it was BEST, tap on throttle and it flies off instantly. On cornering, no body roll feel at all and overtaking is much easier than its other similar SUV makes out there. The pick up was smooth and fast, gear shifts are great too with no feel of the sluggish changes, all you need is to focus on the roads and leave the rest to the car. Only thing is when you have fallen for it, and before you sign on the dotted line, take note of its plenty options to choose from which can easily burn quite a hole to your wallet. Considering a SUV that you want power, fast, luxury, responsive dynamics, sporty feel and drive, a minimum 2.0L capacity and plenty of sporty options to add from, PLUS you must have much deeper pockets, this tiger from the sports car maker is definitely your choice. The most perfect car I've owned although it's my first SUV!!!
Love for my Macan grows deeper with each day. Love every detail of the car. I'm attracted to not only to the visual aspects, but also to the drive. Drives like a sports car but it is also a practical utility vehicle.... Read More
