Review
Lexus' latest facelift to the IS gives it looks that are as sharp as ever. The 2.5-litre is great for the city: Quiet, fairly punchy, and super smooth. Not the greatest sounding but if you want fun and power just go for the non-hybrid.
Rides fairly decent over bad roads also.
What I like
Actually reasonably priced after you get all you VES rebates. Cabin, infotainment, and instrument cluster looks a bit old stuff compared to the 3 Series and maybe even the Mercedes C-Class, but I think the dashboard design is bit classier than those two.
What I do not like
nil.

Review
The IS has always been a sporty sedan with quite a bit of luxury. This time round with the new facelift, it looks much better with a strong character, thanks to its unique curves and shape.
Keeping with traditions, this IS handles very nicely as well.
What I like
- Stunning looks
- Luxurious and good looking interior
- Handles very well
What I do not like
- This hybrid version is equipped with a 2.5l engine, the 2l turbocharged in the non hybrid might have been a better choice considering the lower road tax and relatively good power.
Smooth and sleek as heck. Very Nice. | Posted on 21 Jun 2021 |

The IS has been facelifted this time even though it looks almost completely different from the outside. You get a very nice handling car that is still economical to run with the hybrid drivetrain.
What I like
Amazing looks. The IS has usually trailed behind rivals looks-wise (to me at least) but this new car will easily compete with the rest when it comes to visual aggressiveness. That full-width taillight is also really really nice.
Cabin is very well-built, and you get a very nice ride. The car is well-damped and settles back down very quickly after you drive over humps, potholes, etc.
What I do not like
The infotainment display is starting to look a bit old, even with the new touchscreen. Ok space at the back for passengers.

Need something that is both stylish and practical all at the same time? This Lexus IS could just be it.
What I like
It's a hybrid, and quite the smooth one at that. Performance is not going to excite the senses, not really, and it doesn't sound so encouraging when pushed, but its still quiet and efficient.
This new Lexus also has seen a raft of suspension upgrades and they show. The IS is a composed thing over rough roads, and there's ok agility to be had when pushing this sedan about. Having said that, the sense of fluidity and poise when handling rough roads is still not quite on par with rivals. Steering feel is also outright numb here.
What I do not like
Lexus needs to overhaul this platform. The exterior design is striking as is, but the interior is now really showing its age. The dashboard is starting to look messy, as are the door cards. And the instrument cluster needs an upgrade, especially now that many more affordable vehicles are now fully-digital items, complete with crisp and attractive displays.
