1st EV to try out! Excellent choice made!
Fast pick up, plenty of safety features, nice drive feel.
Good to use for daily drive around the city.
Price is most reasonable compared with others brand in the SG market.
After more than a year on the road and over 22,000?km, the car remains strong and reliable. It projects a sporty, confident presence wherever it goes. Its design strikes a balance between futuristic minimalism and muscular SUV cues, giving it a contemporary look without being overly aggressive. My wife enjoys driving it and always compliments the smooth, enjoyable ride.
Still very satisfied after 1 year 3 mth of driving. No major issues. No interior wear and tear. Should improve on publicity.
An innovative vehicle in all aspects. Although recent China EVs are all packed with features, the Omoda E5 is that and more! It does take time to adjust to the driving differences between and EV and conventional ICE cars, but once you get used to that, it's a breeze. Handling is good, acceleration is excellent, and, as mentioned, features are top notch. No regrets getting this car for the next 10years.
My first foray into EV ownership, and after 2 years, it has been above expectations. My car is the Cat B model because i bought it at launch so no Cat A was available. The Cat B has abit more horsepower, but has the exact same features as the Cat A model.
Shortlisted and test-driven various EV cars in the market, like MG S5, Aion V, BYD Atto 3, DongFeng Box, Tesla Model Y, Omoda E5. Chose Omoda E5 for its features, drive feel and price.
Eco mode is good enough, can choose normal or sport mode if want more power.
Charging speed is decent i think, 11 kw max for AC (mostly max at 22kw chargers for the places i go) and 80 kw max for DC (mostly max 100kw chargers for the places I go)
Car is good. Comfortable and quite. Perform quite well even in eco mode. Only complaints would be, boot space is extremely small.
Charging port is at the front, inconvenient when you have to charge in tight spaces especially in HDB's MSCP and newer BTOs with "under-block" CPs where you'll be squeezed with other 2 simillar sized SUV and a pillar.
1 year old Omoda E5 ev car, enjoy driving in SG. handle all roads condiition well. like the white and blue internal. Good performance car. everything easy to use.
Omoda E5 is a well-equipped compact electric SUV that delivers good performance and practicality for its price. Comfortable and smooth daily drive with comprehensive in built safety features.
Have owned the Omoda E5 for 6 months and enjoying my drive every day. Initially was doing my research of a change of car as my Forester was coming to its end of its COE.
Decided to go the EV route as the infrastructure of charging point has been increasing and quite convenient.
So basically the key specs were the range, charging speed and of course the car price & Road Tax. considering all these the Omoda became the most sensible choice as a first foray into the EV stage.
One spec i overlooked was the torque to weight ratio as the Omoda E5 has one of the highest in the Cat A range. This makes the initial acceleration off the traffic lights or the extra push for overtaking that much more fulfilling. Yes the 0-100km/h time seems slower than the rest however with that instant torque, you honestly wouldn't even realise that especially on Singapore roads.
Real value for money as the exterior and interior design is also unique and sporty. Not too boxy nor too eggy look.
Would certainly recommend the car to anyone considering jumping into the EV bandwagon without breaking the bank!
The first thing that stood out to me was the interior — it genuinely has a luxurious feel. The materials, ambient lighting, and sleek dual-screen dashboard make the cabin look and feel premium, almost like a much higher-priced car. Every drive feels comfortable and relaxing because the cabin is also very quiet.
The driving experience is smooth and responsive, especially in city traffic. Acceleration is effortless and the car feels stable and easy to handle. The range is practical for daily use.
I also appreciate the safety and driver-assist features that add confidence on the road, and the spacious cabin makes it practical for passengers and storage.
Overall, the Omoda E5 offers excellent value — stylish, comfortable, and packed with features while still being affordable. A great choice for anyone considering an EV!
Also, kudos to Alice Goh for the pleasant and smooth experience purchasing my car. She was patient, transparent, and never pushy throughout the entire process. All my questions were answered clearly and she took the time to explain the details, making sure I was comfortable before making any decisions.
What I appreciated most was her responsiveness and sincerity — she followed up promptly, kept me updated, and genuinely tried to get the best arrangement for me rather than just closing a sale. The whole sales process was well-coordinated and hassle-free.
Overall, it was a stress-free and reassuring experience. I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking to purchase a car!

Excellent EV choice with great aesthetic and interior space. Value for money with decent EV features and provide great comfort as well.
After taking delivery of my Omoda E5 in December 2024, I can confidently say this is one of the best decisions I've made for my daily commute. If you're looking to switch to an electric vehicle but are worried about the "learning curve," this car makes the transition incredibly easy.
The Drive & Adaptability
The first thing you notice is how intuitive the Omoda E5 is. It's "good to drive" in the truest sense—zippy enough to feel exciting but smooth enough that it doesn't feel like you're handling a spaceship. Adapting from a traditional petrol car to this EV was seamless. It's quiet, responsive, and handles urban slopes and traffic with ease.
Space & Practicality
Don't let the sleek, sporty exterior fool you—the interior packaging is impressive. The back seat space is just right for 3 adults, making it a practical choice for lunch runs with colleagues or family outings without anyone feeling squeezed.
Safety & Tech
In over a year of driving, I've had zero major technical issues. The car is mechanically solid. One thing to note is that the safety sensors are incredibly vigilant. I did have one instance where the car "jammed" the brakes while I was heading up a slope to my office car park because it detected a pedestrian nearby. While it gave me a bit of a surprise, it's actually reassuring to know the Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB) is that sharp. It would rather be "too safe" than not safe enough!
Have owned the Omoda E5 for a year now, and so far enjoying the plunge into EV, having previously owned an ICE car. Omoda (and Jaecoo) are good entry points for aspiring EV owners, with a relatively lower price point, but certainly not a stripped down bare shell of a car. Ride is smooth and comfortable, and good for a family of 4. Boot size is lacking compared to other small sized SUVs in the market, but unless you're regularly packing 2 large luggages into your boot, not a deal breaker. Test drive to try and experience for yourself.
Driving experience is good. Loving the spacious interiors. Full charge gives about 440km. Pickup speed is fast. Boot space is large for this catA.
