Looking for an EV car under CATA and found this car which have almost all the function which I wanted as compared it with the BYD Atto3, Omoda e5, and Nissan eKicks which is fall in the same price and CAT. It offers a spacious interior with a stunning cabin design with comfortable sofa seat and a seamless auto mode that performed excellently on drives. This car also comes with an impressive range of 480Km which is one of the longest in the CATA and fastest DC charge in 16 minutes delivers both efficiency and reliability. The internal feel is enhanced by features like a mini fridge, massage and ventilated front seats, and a moonroof that provides a beautiful panoramic view. Besides the door can be open almost 90 degree angle and the back seat can be push down with an angle of 137 degree that provide comfort for passengers.

I have driven the Aion V for more than a month now. The engine is responsive and perky with very good acceleration. Electric consumption is really individual, depending on your heavy foot on the accelerator. The rear seat is extremely spacious but not without a tradeoff, the boot space. My kiddos mentioned it's like seating on a plane, very quiet and comfortable. One thing I like about this SUV is the independent suspension which is very smooth when giving over humps or uneven ground.
I decided to buy the Aion V after comparing to Omoda E5, Volvo EX30, BYD Atto3, Sealion and Skyworth K. Aion V is my personal overall winner in terms of ride handling, comfortability, price competitiveness and interiors. No regrets ever, bettering my previous French ride by more than a mile!

This car offers a compelling package for those looking to step into the EV world with comfort, tech, and value in mind.
One of the standout features is the Level 2 ADAS. It includes adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, lane centering, automatic emergency braking, and traffic jam assist. On expressways, the AION V can maintain lane position and distance from the vehicle ahead with minimal driver input, reducing fatigue on longer journeys or in stop-and-go traffic. The system is smooth and unobtrusive, striking a good balance between assistance and control.
In terms of safety, the AION V is well-equipped. It comes with seven airbags - including dual front, front side, and full-length curtain airbags - providing comprehensive protection for all occupants. There's also a 540-degree surround-view camera system, blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and a driver attention monitoring system. These features work together to enhance both active and passive safety, giving drivers peace of mind on busy roads.
Inside, the full genuine leather upholstery gives the cabin a premium, upmarket feel. Both the driver and front passenger seats are ventilated and feature built-in massage functions - a rare luxury at this price point. There's even a fridge (can operate between -15 to 50 Degree Celsius) that comes with the car without any top ups. Combined with a quiet and well-insulated cabin, the ride feels serene and comfortable, especially in city traffic or during long weekend drives.
Charging is fast (it supports up to DC 180kW) and convenient. Where the car does fall short slightly is in its in-car entertainment system. Many apps are still pending approval and unavailable out of the box. That said, a practical workaround is attaching a third-party Android TV box, which transforms the screen into a full Android display with streaming apps and more functionality - something that's easy to set up and works well.
Final note - I've met the SA, Zhi Kai at the road show and he had patiently explained the features of the car to me. I then went to the showroom for a test drive and met Rachael. Test drove, and felt compelled to put in the deposit after being offered an irresistible deal. This is by no means a rash decision as I have been researching other models and test drove some of them, but none could offer similar features at this price point.

I was on the lookout for an EV car under CATA and was thrilled to discover this gem. I compared it with the BYD Atto3, Omoda e5, and Nissan eKicks, and this car truly stood out. It offers a spacious interior with a stunning cabin design and a seamless auto mode that performed excellently on drives from Tampines to CCK. With an impressive range of 480 kmâ€"one of the longest in the CATA segmentâ€"it delivers both efficiency and reliability. The luxurious feel is enhanced by thoughtful features like a mini fridge, massage and ventilated front seats, and a moonroof that provides a beautiful panoramic view.
