What drew me to the Aion V Luxury were the features. No other car came close at this price point. When we first sat inside the showroom model, we were sold immediately. Plush leather seats, built-in massage, voice commands, fast charging, and a cabin that felt far more premium than expected. For what it costs, it already feels like you are stepping into the future.
Driving it is pure calm. The cabin is whisper quiet, so quiet that I no longer wear my AirPods Pro and rarely turn the music past level 1. The ride feels smooth and spacious, with plenty of legroom and thoughtful details that make every trip a small retreat.
The massage function is a personal favourite, especially in traffic. Range has never been a worry, and the car's systems are intuitive and easy to use.
If there is one thing to improve, it would be the glove box design, but that is a small trade-off in an otherwise impressive package.
The Aion V Luxury is more than just good value. It is a reminder that comfort, technology, and quiet can coexist beautifully in an EV built for everyday life.

Been looking around for an EV given that the push for EV is harder towards the end of the year. Few models in mind when I check out, Sealion &, Atto3 and Aion V.
The Sealion 7, very common on the road now and very well built, but given the steep price even for the CAT A trim, it doesn't add up getting it especially they have taken quite a fair bit of features out from the CAT B trim. The difference is not just the COE but a lot more. So dropped out look 1 tier down, which left us with Atto3 and Aion V.
Atto3, nothing unfamiliar with the car given that Grabride had already been using it, nothing more of an upgrade from my current ride and frankly the built quality of Atto3 isn't really impressive, if compared to the Sealion 7.
Here, decided to drop by Aion showroom to check out the V. First thing after stepping into the showroom was greeted by the side view of the V, reminding me of a range rover. Was than introed to the car of 2 different trims, the Premium and the Luxury. All I could say is that this car has got almost everything, even for the lower Premium range. Comparing to my current ICE ride, this car almost have everything that I'm looking for an upgrade. The only difference between the Premium and Luxury were the battery size, massage chair, fridge (yes fride), leather seats, cabin mirror and DMS. If you are looking at something more straightfoward without some fanciful stuff, Premium trim would be more than sufficient and saving you some bucks every month. But if you have got money to spare, go for the luxury trim, and you would have everything it can offer.
Frankly, if you are looking at an EV which is a sub-compact/mid-size SUV and not extremely heavy on your pockets, give Aion a chance and check out the V. You won't be disappointed if you are comparing directly to the mentioned choices.

rading in my beloved MG HS for the Aion V Luxury Series was one of the toughest decisions I've made, as it marked my very first step into owning an EV. There's a lot to learn—charging apps, new driving habits, and getting used to the extremely quiet cabin that most EVs are well-equipped with.
When comparing EVs within its price range and feature set, the Aion V truly stands out against its competitors. It offers a smooth and balanced suspension, an unblockable panoramic view reminiscent of Tesla, a spacious interior, and an impressive full-charge range of 485 km (and even over 600 km in city traffic conditions).
On top of that, the Aion V brings luxury touches that enhance everyday comfort: front seats with massage functions, ventilated front seats that release trapped heat after long hours in open-air parking, and a striking interior design that impresses both driver and passengers. The overall seating comfort makes every journey a pleasure.
For me, the Aion V is not just a smart upgrade—it's a whole new driving experience.

This is the most value for money Cat A EV, packed full of features like refrigerator, massage chairs for both front seats, wireless ApplePlay, full sunroof, fully decked with luxurious leather.
The drive is very relaxed as the cabin is super quiet with double glazed windows shutting out the exterior noise.
Rear passengers are treated to a ride aka in premium economy as there is huge legroom space.
Very comfortable drive overall and if power is needed, easily available at the tap of the accelerator pedal.
I like the fast charging capability as I can get a quick boost if I need to "top up" battery last minute.
The ride is comfortable as the suspension is well sorted, going over bumps and humps gracefully.
Good price point also and road tax is not high as it is only Cat A.
So car mechanically no issues, pleased with my purchase.

Looking for an EV car under CATA and found this car which have almost all the function which I wanted as compared it with the BYD Atto3, Omoda e5, and Nissan eKicks which is fall in the same price and CAT. It offers a spacious interior with a stunning cabin design with comfortable sofa seat and a seamless auto mode that performed excellently on drives. This car also comes with an impressive range of 480Km which is one of the longest in the CATA and fastest DC charge in 16 minutes delivers both efficiency and reliability. The internal feel is enhanced by features like a mini fridge, massage and ventilated front seats, and a moonroof that provides a beautiful panoramic view. Besides the door can be open almost 90 degree angle and the back seat can be push down with an angle of 137 degree that provide comfort for passengers.

I have driven the Aion V for more than a month now. The engine is responsive and perky with very good acceleration. Electric consumption is really individual, depending on your heavy foot on the accelerator. The rear seat is extremely spacious but not without a tradeoff, the boot space. My kiddos mentioned it's like seating on a plane, very quiet and comfortable. One thing I like about this SUV is the independent suspension which is very smooth when giving over humps or uneven ground.
I decided to buy the Aion V after comparing to Omoda E5, Volvo EX30, BYD Atto3, Sealion and Skyworth K. Aion V is my personal overall winner in terms of ride handling, comfortability, price competitiveness and interiors. No regrets ever, bettering my previous French ride by more than a mile!

This car offers a compelling package for those looking to step into the EV world with comfort, tech, and value in mind.
One of the standout features is the Level 2 ADAS. It includes adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, lane centering, automatic emergency braking, and traffic jam assist. On expressways, the AION V can maintain lane position and distance from the vehicle ahead with minimal driver input, reducing fatigue on longer journeys or in stop-and-go traffic. The system is smooth and unobtrusive, striking a good balance between assistance and control.
In terms of safety, the AION V is well-equipped. It comes with seven airbags - including dual front, front side, and full-length curtain airbags - providing comprehensive protection for all occupants. There's also a 540-degree surround-view camera system, blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and a driver attention monitoring system. These features work together to enhance both active and passive safety, giving drivers peace of mind on busy roads.
Inside, the full genuine leather upholstery gives the cabin a premium, upmarket feel. Both the driver and front passenger seats are ventilated and feature built-in massage functions - a rare luxury at this price point. There's even a fridge (can operate between -15 to 50 Degree Celsius) that comes with the car without any top ups. Combined with a quiet and well-insulated cabin, the ride feels serene and comfortable, especially in city traffic or during long weekend drives.
Charging is fast (it supports up to DC 180kW) and convenient. Where the car does fall short slightly is in its in-car entertainment system. Many apps are still pending approval and unavailable out of the box. That said, a practical workaround is attaching a third-party Android TV box, which transforms the screen into a full Android display with streaming apps and more functionality - something that's easy to set up and works well.
Final note - I've met the SA, Zhi Kai at the road show and he had patiently explained the features of the car to me. I then went to the showroom for a test drive and met Rachael. Test drove, and felt compelled to put in the deposit after being offered an irresistible deal. This is by no means a rash decision as I have been researching other models and test drove some of them, but none could offer similar features at this price point.

I was on the lookout for an EV car under CATA and was thrilled to discover this gem. I compared it with the BYD Atto3, Omoda e5, and Nissan eKicks, and this car truly stood out. It offers a spacious interior with a stunning cabin design and a seamless auto mode that performed excellently on drives from Tampines to CCK. With an impressive range of 480 kmâ€"one of the longest in the CATA segmentâ€"it delivers both efficiency and reliability. The luxurious feel is enhanced by thoughtful features like a mini fridge, massage and ventilated front seats, and a moonroof that provides a beautiful panoramic view.
