I am owning a Premio 1.5L, with no keyless feature.
In comparison with other 1.5L cars (Nissan Latio, Syphy, Honda City, Civic, Toyota Vios, Altis) in the market, Premio is considered pretty enormous for its size! However, in terms of width, its pretty short. With such a size, its hard to believe that is is also one of the most fuel economical in the market!
The gas can run up to 18km/litre.
The steering is light and with good control.
Passenger are very comfortable as the seats can decline. In addition, there are lots of leg room for the rear passengers.
In comparision with Allion, the length of the car is slightly longer. The interior is exactly the same and very luxurious (of course, you cant compared this with Merc and european cars). As this is a parallel import, everything is so well built and with precision. As for the exterior, Premio looks more classy and Allion looks more sporty. This is to cater for different target markets.
However, i will still prefer premio as its very classy and looks pretty much like Camry. No wonder people are saying that Premio is the Mini Camry!
What I like
The length of the car looks classy and luxurious!
Good handling and control.
Low Fuel consumption
Luxury interior
The warning alarm are good reminders to put on seat belt, switch off headlight and removable of key when the engine is off.
(for driver and front passenger's seat belt, the headlight alarm and key alarm).
What I do not like
The width of the car is too short.
No keyless startup and auto headlights for my model.

Review
I'm a owner of the Toyota Premio 2008 1.8cc model and I'm very happy on the performance and comfort ride of this car. i have owned the car for over 7 months now and i will strongly make strong recommendation to any one who is considering a parallel import Toyota.
As i have owned the 1st generation Toyota Altis for 4 years comparing with my current Premio, this baby is much much more better than the current Altis 1.8 which uses the same engine but in terms of external and internal features, the material used in the Premio is really value for money and besides, it is much more quieter than the any other Japanese model 1.8 of course.
What I like
I like the design.
I like the internal layout, features especially all 4 windows were fully auto which you normally don't find in other japanese model which usually have either the driver's side and front passenger side only.
I like its fuel economy which my previous Altis did was about 13.5km/litre and my Premio can do slightly better at about 15km/litre.
I like the quietness of the car especially cruising along expressways.
I like the spaciousness and slightly better legroom for both front and rear passengers.
Rear passenger seat can even be tilted to about 45 degrees backwards which allowed the rear passenger the completely relax while travelling long distance.
What I do not like
What i do not like is the dual VVTI engine while performing picking up at a stationary position which i feel abit sluggish than the normal VVTI engine as it seems to require more acceleration though considering responsive.
The Techo meter should have more than 180km/h indicator.

Review
Just like the first person who review the car, Mr hendry, i ended up buying it. Not sure yet on the reliability and handling thus neutral about it. Another doubt on the car would be spare parts support since i had only saw one other premio on the road. The car is quiet and has excellent fuel econoy (about 11.5km/l) despite being a 1.8. Would advice anyone keen on the car to get the 1.8 model. Feature wish, it is top notch. If can resolve the GPS, it would be perfect. The reason i wrote this review is that there is too little anyone knows about this car.. just want to share my views. Great.
What I like
-feature (all original)
*reverse camera
*fog light
*door indicator
*keyless
-quietness
-fuel consumption
-look (at least to me)
-RARE
What I do not like
not known yet....parts may be expensive
handling untested

Review
When I decided to sell my old 200E Merz, I reviewed several cars within my budget and had decided on one model. However, I was asked to first test drive a Premio 1.8L.... and I ended up owning one now. I like the Premio 1.8L, but am not sure how the 1.8L compares with the 1.5L in terms of value. Paying a lot more for the Dual VVT-i engine. Hope to hear other reviewers' comments.
What I like
- Dual VVT-i Engine performance is very responsive, quiet and powerful.
- Smart key(less) and start/stop button.
- "ECO" driving monitor/feedback with digital screen. Helps improves my bad habits and saves fuel.
- Auto headlights...nice feature for dark carparks and tunnels.
- Colour rear camera on reverse.
- Reclining rear seats and fold down rear seats.
- Elegant and spacious interior with wood and leather trimmings..feels luxurious inside. Nice dashboard too.
- Made in Japan, a quality perception?
What I do not like
- No English manual and Japanese buttons/icons to memorise.
- No remote alarm, only immobiliser.
- No GPS.
- Radio frequencies are different from S'pore's.
- Boot opening a tad narrower.
