Train service on the North-East Line between Punggol and Buangkok was disrupted on Thursday morning due to a power fault.

Train service on the North-East Line (NEL) between Punggol and Buangkok was disrupted on Thursday morning due to a power fault.

Although shuttle buses were dispatched to transport passengers between the two stations, commuters complained of confusion over the free shuttle service.

Jessee Chang commented on The Straits Times Facebook page that there were no staff to direct them where to queue, and shuttle buses were stopping at every bus stop and not direct to MRT stations.

Twitter pictures posted by readers also showed long queues at these two stations.
