Only 600 lucky people in the world will get to own the Aventador LP750-4 Superveloce (SV). And one of those is going to set you back $1.88 million (without COE) here in Singapore. Those are just some of the 'eye-popping' information that we got at the launch event.

The Aventador SV is currently the fastest series production car that has ever rolled out of Lamborghini's factory. The Italian marque continues its tradition of bestowing the most powerful and hardcore variant of its offerings the 'SV' moniker. 

The beast of a super sports car features an enhanced version of the naturally aspirated 6.5-litre V12 to churn out a total of 750 horses (50bhp more than the Aventador). Couple that with weight savings of 50kg over the 'standard' version, the LP750-4 SV launches from 0 to 100km/h in 2.8 seconds, and has a top speed of more than 350km/h.

The increase in performance is possible thanks to extensive use of carbon fibre, as well as a clear focus on aerodynamics to improve the driveability of the super sports car. Also on the SV is the adaptive Magneto Rheological Suspension (MRS), which is integrated with the pushrod suspension system for an even more dynamic performance. The MRS is capable of adjusting damping for each wheel individually. This helps to suppress body roll and ensure the steering stays sharp and responsive, even during hard cornering.

Denoted by the '4' in its moniker, the SV is equipped with permanent all-wheel drive with a Haldex Generation IV coupling system to distribute torque between the front and rear. The system can react to dynamic situations in mere milliseconds to help put down the immense power on the tarmac more effectively. There's also a Drive Select system with three modes (Strada, Sport and Corsa) that adjusts the engine, transmission, differential, dampers and steering to suit the driver's preference.
