The Land Transport Authority and bus operator SBS Transit has announced that commuters will be able to take bus service 103 to Yishun Bus Interchange from 14th June, reported The Straits Times.
Bus service 103 currently starts and ends at Serangoon Bus Interchange, looping around West Camp Road. With the extension to Yishun Bus Interchange, the service will also pass by Safra Yishun Country Club and Khoo Teck Puat Hospital.
The bus service's operating hours at Serangoon Bus Interchange will remain unchanged, from 6:00am to 12:15am on weekdays and 6am to midnight on weekends and public holidays. It will operate daily from 6:00am to midnight at Yishun Bus Interchange.
The extension is part of the Government's $1.1 billion Bus Service Enhancement Programme introduced in 2012. The programme aims to increase the number of public buses by almost 20 percent, from around 4,600 now, to 5,400 by 2017.
