Mercedes-Benz has launched the new S-Class Coupe, which combines the classic proportions of a large, sporty coupe with modern luxury and pioneering technology. The S-Class Coupe is initially available in S500 guise, with a 4.7-litre V8 biturbo engine rated at 455bhp and 700Nm torque. The engine is paired to a 9G-Tronic transmission.

The Direct Steer system offers enhanced agility in bends, and Airmatic air suspension system improves ride comfort and driving dynamics. The optional Magic Body Control makes it world premiere in the S-Class, the first suspension system with a curve tilting function that depending on the curve driven, changes the preload of each individual spring.

The exterior of the S-Class Coupe is characterised by typical rear-wheel drive proportions, with a long bonnet and accentuated wheel arches.

A new LED Intelligent Light System with Swarovski crystals create the coupe's distinctive front-end look.

The interior combines sculptural, sensuous elements and components with a clear geometry of its basic architecture. Seven-colour ambient lighting, sporty seats in nappa leather, designo metalised ash wood trim, AMG velour floor mats and automatic climate control offer a high level of comfort and luxury.

The S-Class Coupe also features an array of safety systems, including a 360-degreecamera, Collision Prevention Assist Plus, Attention Assist, Active Parking Assist, Adaptive Highbeam Assist Plus, Adaptive Brake Light, Night View Assist Plus and a Head-up Display.

The S-Class Coupe S500 is now on sale, priced at $613,888 (including COE).
