Fiat has released a set of teaser sketches to preview the upcoming Fiat 124, based on the new Mazda MX-5. The Italian car maker's long-awaited convertible is scheduled to makes its public debut for the first time later this month at the Los Angeles Motor Show.
Though primarily showing famous landmarks in London, Rome and Madrid, the teaser images suggest that the 124 roadster does away with the MX-5's thin, angular head lights and instead adopts bigger, more rounded units. However, it will still share certain key components such as the wheelbase and the lightweight chassis found in the MX-5.
Built by Mazda in Japan, the Fiat 124 is scheduled to go on sale some time next year. Stay tuned for more details as they emerge in the coming weeks in the build-up to the Los Angeles Motor Show.
