The Honda Civic is one of Singapore's most popular sedans over the span of its 43-year history. Kah Motor is pleased to launch the new 10th generation Civic - freshly styled to recapture the sporty character of the car, whilst packing a comfortable, spacious cabin.
For now, the new Civic comes in two variants - the first of which is powered by a 1.6-litre SOHC i-VTEC engine (123bhp and 152Nm of torque) and a new continuously-variable gearbox developed under Honda's Earth Dreams Technology.
Next in line is the much-awaited 1.5-litre DOHC VTEC Turbo (171bhp and 220Nm of torque) variant. The new Civic hatch and Civic Type R are expected to debut here in 2017.
The new Civic now displays an even sportier and advanced body design, using the 'Wide and Low' body styling concept to enhance the sense of 'sport' and a more spacious cabin. The exterior of the car presents an ideal level of luxury and bold presence, a more compact and sporty front overhang, sculpted hood and a fastback-style tail. Proportions of the new Civic also set new standards for dynamic handling, steering and ride quality in the compact segment, courtesy of its new platform.
Inside, the cabin of the new Civic is designed for comfort and sophistication - premium tones and high quality materials, increased cabin space, segment-leading visibility and an increase in trunk space. The Civic's rear bench also features a 60:40 split and folding rear seat giving users more convenience and functional space.
On top of that, new standard cabin equipment include a 7.0-inch infotainment system, Apple CarPlay, dual-zone automatic climate control and rear ventilation outlets.
The 1.5-litre DOHC VTEC Turbo variant gets a sunroof, a tailgate spoiler and an eight-way power adjustable driver's seat.
In terms of safety systems, the new Civic has segment-leading ones like Honda's LaneWatchTM system, an electronic parking brake, auto brake hold and walk-away auto lock.
Next in line is the much-awaited 1.5-litre DOHC VTEC Turbo (171bhp and 220Nm of torque) variant. The new Civic hatch and Civic Type R are expected to debut here in 2017.
These powerful and fuel efficient new engines combine with a sophisticated new body and chassis design to deliver incredibly responsive and sporty performance with a higher level of ride refinement and segment-leading fuel efficiency.
