At a media get-together held at DW Workshop, Borneo Motors launched the all new Toyota Sienta, the brand's latest multi-purpose vehicle offering.

At a media get-together held at DW Workshop at Rochester Drive, Borneo Motors launched the all new Toyota Sienta. Developed with young, active and urban families in mind, the all new Sienta sets out to impress as the next compact seven-seater multi-purpose vehicle - a perfect harmony of fun, style and function.

The Sienta's 'urban trekking shoe'-inspired design features sharp, dynamic lines, with a distinct radiator grille and a striking headlamp design at the front. The sharp lines flow across the car's silhouette all the way to the rear, where the rear bumper garnish combines with the angular rear combination lamps and a bumper protector designed to shield against scratches.

On the inside, satin chrome and piano-black ornamentation, as well as bright silver accents, create a sense of modernity and sophistication. Key interior features include automatic air-conditioning control and rear air-con, with four strength settings for the rear air-con to ensure the ideal comfort of all passengers. The latest Toyota Telematics infotainment system, accessible via a 4.2-inch TFT multi-information display, allows drivers to stay connected while on the go.

The Sienta is also designed for absolute convenience. Key features include steering-mounted controls, a smart entry and start system, power sliding doors for rear passengers with jam protection, theatre-style seating (with each row gradually elevated to ensure enhanced visibility for all passengers), as well as versatile seating configurations and expandable storage capacity.

The all new Sienta is powered by a 1.5-litre Dual VTT-i engine, which produces 106bhp and 140Nm of torque. It is mated to a continuously-variable transmission with a seven-speed Sport Sequential Shiftmatic mode that allows manual operation.

The Sienta also comes equipped with numerous safety features to ensure peace-of-mind whilst driving. These include an anti-lock brake system with electronic brake force distribution, brake assist, hill-start assist control and vehicle stability control with traction control.

Price as of press time (inclusive of COE)

    Toyota Sienta 1.5 Standard (A) - $108,888
    Toyota Sienta 1.5 Elegance (A) - $114,888
