Delays on Circle Line due to train fault: SMRT

Commuters were affected by a train fault that caused delays on the Circle Line (CCL) on Monday (11th September) morning. SMRT, which operates the CCL, first tweeted about the fault at 9:25am.
It warned to expect an additional 15 minutes of travel time from Paya Lebar to Buona Vista stations. This was later revised to 30 minutes. Free regular bus services were also made available. On social media, commuters complained of packed train platforms at stations along the line.
