  • Kah Motor launches 2017 Honda CR-V in Singapore

    16 Sep 2017

The 2017 CR-V heads in a fresh new direction while continuing to build on the legacy with sportier innovative styling and even more spacious interior.

Launched today at the Grand Hyatt Singapore by Kah Motor, the all new fifth generation CR-V builds strongly on the previous four generations. Like those vehicles, the shape of the all new CR-V is utility-oriented, providing the roominess, flexible storage and off-highway capabilities that are useful for so many people.

The all new CR-V's exterior offers sporty and innovative styling to match its comfortable and spacious interior, while also providing maximum utility value for a wide range of users. Slightly longer, wider and taller than the previous generation CR-V, the new model is the ideal size to lead the compact sport utility vehicle segment.

Defining design elements that add strength and vigour to the all new CR-V are athletic wheel arches, a long hood with aggressive aerodynamic front-end detailing, a short rear overhang, and increased ground clearance. The design also features a longer wheelbase that improves rear-seat roominess and ride quality.

For the first time ever, the all new CR-V is offered with a turbocharged 1.5-litre engine. With a maximum power output of 190bhp at 5,600rpm and maximum 243Nm at 2,000rpm to 5,000rpm of torque, this CR-V is the most powerful production example of this engine family to date.

Inside, the interior is a marriage of advanced integrated technology and the finest materials. For improved rear passenger comfort, Honda has created the all new CR-V with two-position reclining seatbacks and a nearly flat floor under the front seats. At the same time, the car's all new one-motion dive-down 60/40 spilt rear seat design creates incredible cargo space.

In typical Honda fashion, the all new CR-V is also built on a foundation of smart design, comfortable fit and intuitive controls. Upscale amenities, premium accents and available leather seating help give the all new CR-V a more luxurious feel than ever before. By stretching the wheelbase, the all new CR-V offers impressive space and comfort, particularly in the spacious rear seating area, which has gained more than 50mm of additional legroom.

To maximise convenience and utility, the all new CR-V's interior has a wide range of storage features including the newly designed centre console. Topped with a comfortable padded, sliding, flip-up centre armrest, the generously sized console now has three distinct internal configurations, made possible by a tray that can be repositioned as desired.
In terms of safety, making its debut in the all new CR-V is Honda's Driver Attention Monitor, which alerts the driver to take break when he or she becomes inattentive. The Driving Attention Monitor is developed to detect reduced attention levels. For example, when driving on highways or on arterial roads, the system uses input from the electric power steering to measure both the frequency and severity of the driver's steering inputs to gauge their level of awareness.

The all new 2017 CR-V is available in seven colours and is covered by an exclusive five-year unlimited mileage warranty offered by Kah Motor.

Prices as of press time (inclusive of COE)

    Honda CR-V 1.5 Turbo 5-Seater (A) - $145,999
    Honda CR-V 1.5 Turbo 7-Seater (A) - $161,999
